With an increasing number of people studying over-seas, the challenges of studying abroad are heatedly discussed. Here is my take on a few of the challenges.
The very first challenge, obviously, is language.People usually need to learn another language and pass certain language exams before studying abroad. Learning another language can be difficult for many, and regardless of how long they have been studying, walls will arise in communication. The second challenge is culture. Many people are already aware of the issue of culture shock, an experience that results from the cultural differences between their home country and the host country. People of the host country may do things differently and those studying abroad should make every effort to understand the local culture and those unwriten rules. Some other things that may turn out to be challenging include racial discrimination, financial issues and homesickness.
For those who aspire to study abroad, I think it is important to be aware of these challenges and make full preparation in advance.
